Huckleberry Finn

Though out the day we learn different things and do different things. We go to school to learn about positive things, not to learn about the worst things that you can do. For instance, reading the book Huckleberry Finn is not a good idea for schools. This book has the use of bad language, it puts wicked thought into your mind, and it teaches bad things.
One of my main reasons for not reading this book in school is the use of language. This book has cursing and use of racial slurs. There is a lot of cursing though out this book and is almost on every page. Even though some teens curse I do not think that schools should influence the use of it. Also the racial slurs are wrong because the word “nigga” used in chapter 2 more than once and though out the book can be very offensive. That can cause people in the school to start using the word and offend other people.
The second reason is that this story is wicked or maybe even evil. The fact that Huck wants to go to hell because Miss Watson might be there is not right. In the book Huck states, “Then she told me all about the bad places (Hell), and I said I wished I was there.” That is not good because the way he explains his reasoning in the book, a lot of kids might be influence by him and think the same way. You are not supposed to want to go to hell; you should want to go to heaven.
My last reason would be that this book teaches you bad things. In chapter 2 on page 7 Huck states, “…got out my pipe for a smoke.” Also in the story Huck tricks his father by being an animal abuser. This story is told in chapter 7. This book is teaching kids that they should smoke and just to get away from your parents you have to do something bad, like abuse an animal! Then people will be wondering why animals are always dying. This is not a good example of a good life.
In my conclusion I would like to say, this book is not a good example for the high school classes. It should only be read in college or higher places. It has bad use of language, it is wicked, and it teacher bad things. This book is very inappropriate for high schools.
